UVA Chamber Singers directed by Michael Slon 2024

The UVA Chamber Singers present a concert on Sunday, November 23rd at 3:30 pm at St. Paul's Church on University Avenue.  Michael Slon directs the Chamber Singers. The concert is entitled "Arvo Pärt at 90 – UVA Chamber Singers Fall Concert"

This September, world–famous Estonian composer Arvo Pärt turned 90. In celebration of this event, and fresh off their performances in the Baltics with the University Singers, the UVA Chamber Singers present a special program of Pärt’s music – join us November 23, 3:30 pm at St. Paul’s Memorial Church on the Corner. The program will feature some of his most beloved choral works, including Magnificat, “I am the True Vine,” “Solfeggio,” and The Beatitudes, as well as the instrumental work Spiegel im Spiegel and rarely heard selections from his Songs from Childhood. The singers will be joined on the St. Paul’s organ by their principal accompanist, Deke Polifka.
